“I’m very interested in the digital nomad lifestyle. Doing what you love to do, whilst being on the road. I’d love to become a journalist and I’m especially interested in online journalism, virtual reality and multi-media. To combine my love for studying and traveling, I’m planning to study at a German Fernuniversit√§t. This means you study from a distance and not on campus. I’ll probably move once every two months for the next five years of my life. I hope to use Airbnb and Couchsurfing a lot, so that I won’t have to rent different houses all the time. I love the idea of moving around, working on different projects and ideas for a while. I don’t think I’ll continue this life forever, when I’m in my thirties I’ll probably want to root somewhere. Because I do think you need other people, as a confirmation that your version of reality is real and no illusion. As Chris McCandless (‘Into the Wild’) said: ”Happiness is only real when shared.” It’s easy to lose your identity when all you do is travelling. On the other hand, we tend to see the world in black and white, when we need to see it in colour. Travelling awakens you. Every time you come back from a place, all your habits are paused and you can start anew. It’s a good way to reflect on your life.”
